This is the current criteria for inclusion on the Northern Pomeranian Club.

Criteria’s for our judging lists

C List

This list being for aspirant judges who have been active in any breed, breeding/exhibiting for a

period of not less than one year and must be able to show an involvement/interest in this breed.

Please note Breed Club Judges will be chosen from the B list and above

B List Breed Specialists

Judges must be able to fulfill the following criteria to become eligible to be placed on

this list.

1. To have owned, bred and exhibited this breed for a minimum of two years.

2. To have judged a minimum of twelve classes of this breed, with thirty dogs of

this breed actually present and judged at Open Shows or Championship Shows

where Challenge Certificates are not on offer.

3. To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an

assessment where applicable.

B List Non Breed Specialists

Judges must be able to fulfill the following criteria to become eligible to be placed on

this list.

1. To have had a minimum of three years judging experience in any one

breed.

2. To have judged a minimum of forty dogs of this breed, in fifteen classes at

Open Shows or Championship Shows where Challenge Certificate are

not on offer.

3. To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment

where applicable.

A3 List

Breed Specialists

This Club would support Judges to judge the breed at Championship level but

have not yet been assessed as per Kennel Club Policy and they have fulfilled the

following criteria.

1. They have had a minimum of seven years judging in the breed.

2. They have judged a Breed club show.

3. They have judged a minimum of 110 dogs in 50 classes at Open Shows or

Championship Shows where Challenge Certificates are not on offer. Their

appointments to have had an adequate geographical spread.

4. To have bred or owned a minimum of three dogs which have gained first

entry into The Kennel Club Stud Book.

5. To have attended a Seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed

the relevant examination on KC Regulations and Judging Procedures (KC

Policy).

6. To have attended a Seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer on

Conformation and Movement and Hands on (KC Policy).

7. To have attended at least one Breed Seminar run in accordance with the

relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or

assessment where applicable (KC Policy).

  1. To have done stewarding duties a minimum of twelve times over a period of 3 years (KC policy)

A3 Non Breed Specialists

The Club indicates the following persons it would support to judge the breed at

Championship level, but have not yet been assessed as per Kennel Club

Policy and they have fulfilled the following criteria.

1. To have judged a minimum of seven years in any one breed and to have

judged this breed for a minimum of five years. Also to have awarded

Challenge Certificates in at least two diverse breeds.

2. To have judged a minimum of 140 dogs of this breed in 75 classes at Open

Shows or Championship Shows where Challenge Certificates are not on

offer. Their appointments to have had an adequate geographical spread.

3. To have attended at least one Breed specific judging Seminar run in accordance

with the relevant KC Code of Best Practice and passed an examination

and/or assessment where applicable.

To have judged a minimum of one breed club show of this breed. of 3 years (KC Policy).

A2 List

Breed Specialists

This Club indicates the following persons it would support to judge the breed at

Championship level but have not yet been approved by The Kennel Club and have

fulfilled our criteria, being that they have met our A3 requirements. Also have

been assessed and we have had notification from the The Kennel Club to this fact.

A2 List

Non Breed Specialists

This Club indicates the following persons it would support to judge the breed at

Championship level but have not yet been approved by The Kennel Club and

have fulfilled our criteria, being that they have met our A3 requirements. Also

have been assessed and we have had notification from The Kennel Club to this

fact.

A1 List

Breed Specialists

This Club indicates the following Breed Specialist judges it would support to award Challenge

Certificates in the Breed and have already been approved by The Kennel Club to do so.

A1 List

Non Breed Specialists

This Club indicates the following persons it would support to award Challenge

Certificates in the breed and have already been approved by The Kennel Club

to do so.
